About the app
Biolivon Care, at biolivon.com/care, is where you, your coach and your practitioner work from one care plan. It is for adults, and by invitation only: nobody signs up to it. An account is created when Biolivon or a practitioner invites someone into a care team, entering that person’s name and email address. Nothing else is collected until you sign in, and the app cannot be used until you have given the consents it asks for, one purpose at a time.
Your practitioner is a doctor registered in India. Biolivon checks their registration before they can join a care team, and the app shows you their name, qualification, and the body that registered them with their registration number. Your coach supports your plan with training, habits and nutrition, and does not advise on medicines.
Biolivon Care is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. For medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, ask your practitioner or another healthcare professional.
It is not for emergencies. Messages are not monitored around the clock. If you feel very unwell, call 112 or see a doctor straight away.
What the app holds
| What | Required? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name and email address | Required | Entered by whoever invites you. Your email address is how you sign in; your name is what your care team sees. |
| Sign-in codes | Recorded automatically | A six-digit code emailed to you, which works once and for 10 minutes. Only a keyed hash of it is stored, never the code. |
| Your session | Recorded automatically | A random token in a cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, or until you sign out. Only a hash of it is stored. We also record when you last signed in. |
| Your consent decisions | Recorded automatically | Each one with its exact wording, the notice version and the time, including your confirmation that you are 18 or older, so the record shows what you agreed to and when. |
| Check-ins | Entered by you | Weight, waist, energy, appetite, sleep hours and quality, side effects and how severe they are, training sessions, protein, and any notes, so your care team can see how you are doing. |
| Your plan | Written by your practitioner | Priorities, the markers to watch, the thresholds that raise a flag, your protein target, your next review date, and the medicines your practitioner has prescribed. Each change is kept as a new version. |
| Biomarkers | Entered by your practitioner | Test results (the marker, value, unit and date), so they can be read alongside your check-ins. |
| Programmes | Written by your coach | Training, habit and nutrition programmes within your plan's priorities: a title and the programme itself. |
| Messages | Written by you and your care team | Your conversation with your care team. A message the routing rules send to your practitioner is marked as a clinical question, with the names of the rules that matched (see How messages are routed). We also record which messages each person has read. |
| Reviews | Written by your practitioner | What they looked at in a clinical review, and whether the plan changed. |
| Coach notes | Written by your coach | Notes for your practitioner, and when they were reviewed. |
| Escalations | Raised by your coach or practitioner | When something needs your practitioner's attention: the reason, how urgent it is, and how it was resolved. |
| Reports of a concern | Made by anyone on your care team | What the concern is about, who it is about, what the person reporting wrote, which message they chose to share (if any), and the answer. See Reporting a concern. |
| Requests about your data | Recorded automatically | Deletion requests, the answer, and any note explaining it. |
| The audit trail | Recorded automatically | Who did what to which record, and when: sign-ins, check-ins, plan changes, messages sent, consent changes, downloads, data requests and reports of a concern. It never holds the content of a note, message, report or result. For some actions it notes a small detail, such as which routing rules matched a message, how many medicines a plan lists, how urgent an escalation is, or what kind of concern was reported. |
| If you are a practitioner or coach: your registration | Required | Your qualification, the body that registered you, your registration number and jurisdiction, and when and by whom it was verified. A practitioner's name, qualification and registration are shown to their clients. |
What it is used for
To provide your care: so you, your coach and your practitioner work from the same plan; so your practitioner can see when something crosses a threshold (for example, weight falling faster than your plan allows, or a side effect at or above a set severity), which is plain arithmetic against the thresholds in your plan, or the app’s defaults where your practitioner set none, and not a diagnosis; so that messages about medicines, symptoms or an emergency reach your practitioner rather than your coach; to look into a concern that someone on your care team reports; and to sign you in securely and keep a record of who did what. Not for marketing or advertising, never sold, and never shared with anyone outside your care team except the service providers listed under Who receives it, and Biolivon’s Grievance Officer and administrators when someone reports a concern (see Reporting a concern).
How messages are routed
Routing is automatic. As you send a message, plain written rules check it for words about medicines, doses and injections, symptoms and how you feel, and for emergency wording such as chest pain or thoughts of self-harm. A message the rules recognise goes to your practitioner as a clinical question. Your coach cannot see it or your practitioner’s answer to it, and you are told it has gone to your practitioner.
The rules catch what they recognise, not every possible wording. If a question is for your practitioner, say so in your message. If a message sounds like an emergency, the app also tells you straight away to call 112 or see a doctor.
Messages from your care team are checked too: a message from your coach that reads as advice about medicines is held back rather than sent. A held message is not stored. Only the fact that it was held, and which rule held it, goes into the audit trail.
Reporting a concern
Anyone on a care team, whether client, coach or practitioner, can report a concern in the app, under Messages → Report a concern. It can be about a message, about a person on the team, or about your care. You can also use it to ask for a different coach or doctor. It is not for emergencies: if you feel very unwell, call 112.
A report goes to the Grievance Officer, and to Biolivon’s administrators, who handle accounts. They see who made it, who it is about, what you wrote, and the one message you chose to share, if any. They see nothing else from the care record. The person you report is not shown your report, and it never appears to your care team in the app, not even in a care record’s activity log.
The Grievance Officer looks into it and can change your coach or doctor. You read the answer in the app, under Account → Your reports, even if your care team has changed since. We also email you that an answer is ready; the email never contains the answer or what you reported.
If someone on your care team reports a concern about you, the Grievance Officer and the administrators see what they write, and the one message of yours they chose to share, if any. That is why your consent to your care team seeing your record mentions it.
A report is part of your care team’s record, and is deleted with it (see How long it is kept). The reports you make, with their answers, are in your download and under Account → Your reports. For a coach or practitioner, a report on a care team they can no longer see stays with that client’s record: they see only its reference, reason and dates.

Your coach and practitioner see nothing until you consent to your care record being kept and to them seeing it. If you withdraw either consent, they stop seeing it. Coach notes and escalations are working notes between them; the app does not show them to you, but you can ask the Grievance Officer for them.
Biolivon’s administrators manage accounts and care teams (names, email addresses, roles and staff registration details) and handle data requests and reports of a concern. The app gives them no way to read check-ins, plans, medicines, biomarkers, messages or notes, with one exception: when someone on your care team reports a concern, they and the Grievance Officer read what that person wrote and the one message they chose to share, if any (see Reporting a concern). The audit trail they see shows who did what kind of thing, on which care team, and when; never content.
Who else receives it
Hostinger, which hosts this website, also holds the app’s database on the same server and sends the app’s emails from the biolivon.com mailbox. Emails never contain health information. Each one carries a sign-in code, an invitation, the answer to a request about your data, a notice that a concern you reported has an answer, or, only if you turn it on, a notice that you have a new message. A notice never includes the message, the report or the answer. When a concern is reported, the Grievance Officer and the administrators get an email that says only that there is one.

Hostinger handles the app’s data on our behalf. What binds it to use the data only for that job, and to protect it as we must: Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum, accepted for the Google Workspace account that holds the enquiry sheet, and Hostinger's data processing terms for our hosting account (website, database and mailbox). Under them, each provider processes your information only on our instructions. Your coach and practitioner are also bound by their own professional obligations. We will disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a government agency with the legal authority to ask.
How it is protected
Free text is encrypted in the database with AES-256-GCM: check-in notes, messages, plan priorities, medicines, programme content, coach notes, escalations and how they were resolved, reviews, what a report of a concern says and its answer, and notes on requests about your data. The key is kept in the server’s configuration, outside the database, so a copy of the database on its own cannot be read.
The rest is not encrypted this way, so that the app can draw trends and check thresholds. It is protected by the database’s own access controls only: your name and email address; check-in numbers (weight, waist, energy, appetite, sleep, training and protein); the side effects you choose and how severe they are; biomarker names, values and units; the plan’s markers to watch, thresholds, protein target and review date; programme titles; whether a message went to your practitioner, and which rules sent it; how urgent an escalation is; what kind of concern a report raises, who it is about and whether it has been answered; your consent decisions; staff registration details; dates; and the audit trail.
There are no passwords. You sign in with a code we email you; codes and session tokens are stored only as hashes. A code stops working after five wrong tries, and no more than eight codes are sent to an address in an hour. While you ask for or enter a code, your IP address is used to slow down repeated attempts, in the server’s working memory only. Every connection uses HTTPS, and every action on a record goes into the audit trail.
Pages showing your information always come fresh from the server: the app does not store them on your device, and if you are offline it shows a plain “you’re offline” page instead of anything from an earlier visit.
Cookies
Biolivon Care sets only the cookies that signing in needs. All of them are limited to biolivon.com/care, and none is used for tracking or advertising:
- bc_session
- Keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in; lasts 30 days or until you sign out. Your browser’s scripts cannot read it, and it is sent only over HTTPS.
- bc_signin_email
- Holds the address you are signing in with for 15 minutes, so it never appears in a page address.
- bc_invite
- Holds an invitation you are accepting, for up to an hour.
If you install the app, your browser also keeps copies of the app’s own files (scripts, styles and icons, the same for everyone) so it opens quickly. Your pages and information are never stored that way.
Your consent
Consent is asked for one purpose at a time, never as a single accept-all. The exact wording and the version of this notice are recorded with every decision. These are the purposes, in the words you are asked to agree to:
- Keeping my care record · needed for the app to workI confirm that I am 18 or older. I consent to BioLivon Lifesciences keeping my care record in Biolivon Care for the purpose of my care, as described in the privacy notice. My care record is my check-ins, plan and medicines, biomarkers, programmes, messages and reviews, and the working notes, escalations and reports of a concern my care team writes about me.
- My care team seeing my record · needed for the app to workI consent to my care team seeing what their role needs. My coach sees my check-ins (but not the notes I add to them), side effects, weight and waist trends, plan priorities, protein target, next review date, programmes, and my messages that are not clinical questions. My practitioner, a doctor registered in India, sees my full care record, including medicines and biomarkers. My coach and practitioner may write working notes and escalations about me, which I can ask the Grievance Officer for. Biolivon's administrators manage accounts and cannot read my record, except a report that someone on my care team makes to the Grievance Officer and the one message they choose to share with it, which the administrators and the Grievance Officer see.
- Messaging my care team · needed for the app to workI consent to exchanging messages with my care team in the app, and I will keep my messages respectful and about my care. Messages that the app's routing rules recognise as being about medicines, symptoms or an emergency go to my practitioner and are hidden from my coach; the rules are automatic and may not catch every such message. Anyone on my care team can report a message or a concern to the Grievance Officer. Messages are not monitored around the clock and are not for emergencies.
- Email notifications · optionalEmail me when my care team sends me a message in the app. The email only says there is a new message: it never contains the message or any health information. Optional.
You can give or withdraw any of them yourself, at any time, under Account → Your consent. If you withdraw one the app needs, the app pauses for you until you give it again. Withdrawing your consent to keeping your care record, or to your care team seeing it, also stops your coach and practitioner seeing it or adding to it.
Withdrawing does not delete what is already recorded. It stays, unseen, and is deleted as set out under How long it is kept once your care ends. If you withdraw your consent to keeping your care record and don’t give it again within 30 days, your care ends then. Withdrawing does not affect what was done lawfully before you withdrew.
How long it is kept
- Your care record:
- 365 days after your care with Biolivon ends, after which they are deleted. Your care ends when your care team is closed: when your care with Biolivon finishes, when your account is closed, 30 days after you withdraw your consent to keeping the record (unless you give it again), or 30 days after an invitation you never accepted. From then on nobody can see the record in the app. When the period ends, the record is deleted automatically, with the audit entries about it and any reports of a concern made on your care team.
- Your account:
- Your name and email address, and your consent decisions, are kept while you have a care record, and deleted once none is left. Closing your account deletes your email address at once (see below).
- Sign-in codes, sessions and invitations:
- Sign-in codes are deleted a day after they are used or expire (a code expires 10 minutes after it is sent). Sessions are deleted when they expire, 30 days after you sign in, or straight away when you sign out. Invitations are deleted 30 days after they expire.
- Requests about your data:
- Deleted 365 days after they are answered.
- Audit trail:
- Entries about a care record are deleted with that record. Other entries, such as sign-ins and account changes, are deleted after 365 days.
- Staff accounts:
- A practitioner’s or coach’s closed account, and their registration details, are deleted once no care record refers to them. Until then their name stays on what they wrote.
All of this happens automatically, every day.
Your rights in the app, and deleting your account
- Download your dataIn the app: Account → Your data → Download my data. One file with your care record, your consent history, your sign-in activity, your requests about your data, and the reports of a concern you made with their answers, straight away.
- Change your consentAccount → Your consent, one purpose at a time, as explained under Your consent.
- Delete your accountIn the app: Account → Your data → Request deletion, also at biolivon.com/care/account/data. Without the app: write to the Grievance Officer at care@biolivon.com from the address your account uses. We answer within one month. When your account is closed, sign-in stops at once, and your sign-in details are deleted: your email address, sign-in codes, sessions and invitations. Your care team is closed, so nobody can see your record in the app. Your care record, with your name and the consents it was kept under, is kept because the law requires a doctor’s records to be kept, and is deleted automatically when the period under How long it is kept ends. If you have no care record, your account is deleted at once. For a practitioner or coach, sign-in stops and sign-in details are deleted in the same way. Their name stays on what they wrote in clients’ records until those records are deleted.
- Correct something, or complainTell your practitioner or coach, use Messages → Report a concern in the app, or write to the Grievance Officer at care@biolivon.com.
Adults only
Biolivon Care is for adults only. Nobody can sign up to it: an account exists only when Biolivon or a practitioner invites someone into a care team, and we invite adults only. Before using the app, each client confirms that they are 18 or older, as the first part of their consent to keeping their care record. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
Your other rights
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you further rights once its main provisions take effect, currently expected in May 2027: to a summary of your information and of everyone it has been shared with, to nominate someone to act for you, and, after raising it with us first, to complain to the Data Protection Board of India. We intend to honour those rights now rather than wait.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the data-protection law where you live may give you additional rights. Write to the Grievance Officer and we will deal with your request under it.
If a security breach affects your information, we will tell you and report it as the law requires.
If this notice changes
Each version is dated above, and the version in force is recorded with every consent. If we change how we use information you have already given us, we will ask you again rather than assume.
